Cragaig Beag

A warm welcome awaits you at Cragaig Beag which is located in upper Tobermory, in the beautiful capital of Mull. It is only a couple of minutes walk down to the colourful Main Street for shops, cafes and restaurants as well as boat trips and bus services. It is, however, slightly longer walking back up the hill but there are taxis available locally and a bus route which stops at the top of the street. There is an abundance of bird life here and we regularly see Sparrowhawk, Buzzards and White-Tailed Sea Eagles. Dolphin and porpoise visit the bay along with resident seals, otters etc.

Cragaig Beag was built in 2006 as an annexe to the family house, which was built circa 1800’s. It has been a much-loved family home, long let to tenants and is now available as a self-catering holiday. Weekly bookings Friday to Friday are preferred, but short breaks may also be available. Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday, 3 nights minimum stay. Contact to discuss your requirements.

This is a non smoking and vaping property. Smoking or the use of e-cigarettes is only permitted on the front doorstep to limit fire risks as the patio is wooden and near the boilers for the property. Electric cars cannot currently be charged at the property but we are looking into installing a charging point outside. No charging of e-scooters inside the property.

We require £100 to secure the booking with full payment required 4 weeks prior to the holiday. Upon full payment further info will be provided about directions, access etc.
Checkout is at 10:00 and check in at 15:00.

Bedroom 1:
Double bed immediately on the right as you walk through the front door, with bedside tables and a drawer unit. A USB socket is next to the bed and bedside table for easy access to charge electronic devices.

Kitchen/dining area:
Electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and dishwasher.

Toilet, basin, shower over bath.

Patio doors lead to a small private, enclosed decking area which is a sun trap in the afternoon or ideal for putting the airer out to dry clothes. The patio is built within the owners’ back garden, and they will need access to use their rotary washing line or tend to the polytunnel. The owners value their privacy on self-catering holidays and will do their utmost to ensure there is minimal disturbance.

Stairs lead up to a comfortable sitting room with a 2-seater leather recliner sofa and a 3-seater suede sofa bed. The TV has built-in Freesat channels, and Cragaig Beag has its own WiFi router. A USB socket is between the two sofas, behind the nest of tables for easy charging of electronics. Partial sea views from the window.

Bedroom 2:
King-size bed with over-bed storage cupboards and bedside tables. A USB socket is under the window for easy access for charging electronics. Partial sea views from the window.

Ensuite shower room:
Toilet, basin, cupboard with toothbrush/shaver charger, and corner shower with a sliding door. There is oil-fired central heating throughout the property. Bedding, towels, and WiFi are included within the weekly charge. Cragaig Beag has been set up with new beds and bedding in the latter part of 2023, ready for the 2024 season. The required Short-Term Letting Licence has been granted by Argyll & Bute Council, license reference AR00210F. There are many lovely walks locally, including the Rubha Na Gall Lighthouse and Aros Park. Boat trips leave from the pontoons to go for trips around the bay, out to the Treshnish Islands, or out to look for the many species of whales and dolphins found in the seas around Mull.

Please note – The double bedroom is immediately to the right of the front door. The door has a thumb turn lock to meet required fire safety legislation. This would not be suitable for very young children, as there is no way of securing the door to prevent them from leaving the property unnoticed.

Thank you for choosing to rent our small holiday annex (hereafter referred to as “the property”). Please read these terms and conditions carefully before making your booking. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.


1.1 To make a booking, please contact us directly through our website or email. We will then provide you with a quote for the rental period you have requested, which will include the rental price and any applicable fees.

1.2 To secure your booking, we require a £100 deposit at the time of booking.

1.3 Payments are made securely via PayPal.


2.1 If you cancel your booking more than 30 days before the start of the rental period, we will refund 100% of the total deposit price. If you cancel within 30 days of the start of the rental period, no refund will be given.
You should ensure that you have adequate travel insurance in case you need to cancel for any reason? Recommend that ferry is booked via as soon as you are able to.

2.2 If we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will refund any payments made in full.


3.1 The maximum number of guests allowed to stay in the property is four but not suitable for very young children due to the downstairs bedroom with thumb screw front door lock.

3.2 The guest making the booking must be over the age of 18 and must be staying in the property for the duration of the rental period.

3.3 The property is for residential use only. Parties and events are not allowed.


4.1 Check-in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is by 11am on the day of departure.

4.2 Early check-in or late check-out may be possible subject to availability and additional fees.


5.1 Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property but only permitted at the front doorstep due to the patio area being wooden and near the house boilers.

5.2 Maximum of two dogs are allowed in the property.


6.1 We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage to the guest’s property or for any injury or illness sustained by the guest during their stay.

6.2 We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by events outside of our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or acts of terrorism.


7.1 We aim to provide our guests with a high-quality service, but if you have any complaints during your stay, please contact us immediately so that we can try to resolve the issue.

7.2 If we are unable to resolve the issue, you may need to contact the relevant authorities or regulatory bodies.


8.1 These terms and conditions are governed by Scottish law.

8.2 Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
